We went to the Sunshine Coast today-sure beat going to work! Shane was getting the suspension on his bike set near the Glasshouse Mountains and it was going to take several hours, so we decided to take an annual leave day and go look around while it was getting done. We went and looked at Baroon Pocket Dam-the water was so still it was like a mirror. We drove through Maleny looking for a brekky spot, but even on a weekday morning it was too hectic, so we went to Montville instead-much nicer. We went to Mooloolaba and went to Underwater World -plenty to look at-fish, seahorses, coral, wee baby turtles. The size of the Barra were very impressive. They looked like some sort of prehistoric creature. I liked the brightly colour jewel fish the best. If only they could live outside in a freshwater pond. The last photo also shows a shrimp-it was TINY, like 5c piece tiny. We weren't there in time for the seal show, but they still swam around in their tank doing backflips and being silly My favourite display was the jellyfish. They'd lit them up with changing coloured lights and the way they moved was really pretty. I could have spend hours photographing them.

Wow it looks like a brilliant day. Imagine what I'd be like at the aquarium? I used to be hypnotised by the fish at Toowoong! 😳
