Apologies-this blog is rather photo heavy. I downloaded a new camera app that lets me take macro photos-yay-now I can get up close and see interesting detail. I have been enjoying playing with taking close up photos-in the garden and out and about. It was good timing with the bulbs in the garden coming out. I couldn't work out what some of the flowers were that came up with the Anemones-but looking on google with Nana we discovered they were a different sort of Anemone we'd not seen before. Fancy! Becca and I got the ferry to Newfarm Park one Saturday so I could take close up photos of the roses. So many lovely roses there, and the Jacaranda's flowering. I was trying to take photos of all the butterfly's too, but they were too quick for me. Finally found one on the ground that wasn't moving much. The markets were too warm to look around, but we got super tasty juice. I can't remember what was in mine…watermelon, orange, ginger-sure there was more too. I got my chance to take more close ups of butterfly's at Kuranda Butterfly Sanctuary with Michelle. There were so many there-and they would come up close. Of course the one we really wanted to get a pic of was the vivid green Birdwing-which did not stay still for more than 2 seconds. So there are some action shots of it. It was nice to visit with everyone. We went to Millstream Falls, Archers Creek Markets, and the Crater at night possum spotting. We had the whole place to ourselves, which made it a little eerie-a bit too spooky to wander too far along the path. A little possum came to take the fruit we'd left out. And there were Fireflies! I was jump up and down excited about these-so beautiful. Couldn't capture them in photos.
