Well I finally went to GOMA with Becca…the draw-a display with live finches. There were in a room with segments of wire coat-hangers entwined and hung from the ceiling. These became the perches and places to hang nests for the finches. There were several varieties there-including Gouldian Finches which I was obsessed with when younger. Becca and I were the last people in the display and had to be asked to leave, as they wanted to let in the next group ;) I really liked a display of nests they had. People had replicated different birds nests, constructing them from shredded paper money. It reminded me of the hours I used to spend trying to build bird nests in the hopes a bird would use the nest and I would get to play with the babies. My nests certainly couldn't compete with these ones-in fact I don't think any of my attempts held up for more than a few hours! There were other interesting displays-sculptures, lego constructions, shiney metals, and little polystyrene balls strung on wire to appear as though they were floating. I liked the water in the art gallery too. I wonder how the puppies would respond to indoor ponds ;)

Your chicken nests were always productive. Actually, chookins would have loved grubby corn?!
